Thank you for a fabulous mat pilates class. Danielle is a wonderful pilates teacher: knowledgeable and calm. I felt a true connection and understanding of my body. Can’t wait for my next pilates

Hi I’m Danielle

Movement has always been really important to me. It’s my de-stressor, it’s my happy place, it’s where I feel most myself. Moving feels good. It regulates. And it gently reminds me that no matter what is going on, I will be okay + safe. And I wanted to foster similar environments for other people as well.

With this mat pilates class we focus on proper alignment and body attunement. We go slow and break down the exercises in order for you to connect with your breath + your body, all while strengthening the muscles and increasing mobility.

See you on the mat!

Danielle has been a breath of fresh air! I knew of Danielle through dance classes, but when I saw she offered pilates classes 1:1, I knew I wanted to be an apart! She is effortlessly supportive and really knows how to command a room yet leave space

Pilates + movement sessions for you to find greater attunement w/ your body + self

A holistic approach to exercise

I help athletes + movers of any kind increase their body mind awareness + repattern the way their body moves.

End result is a greater trust In themselves allowing for greater freedom + ease in their everyday life.

MY MOVEMENT METHOD

  • PILATES

Pilates is neuromuscular re-education. These series of techniques restore correct functioning while building strength, lean muscles and increasing flexibility + mobility.

There are so many avenues to exercise + they all have their time + place. I like to view Pilates as a longevity form of exercise because it is appropriate for any age + it offers athletes + movers the necessary tools to continue doing what they love for as long as possible.

  • SOMATICS

Somatic work brings more awareness to your body + therefore, to your nervous system. Our nervous systems are responsible for our behaviors, thoughts, + emotions. So the fact that the majority of us live with dysregulated nervous systems means that we are functioning from behaviors, thoughts + emotions that are not actually connected to our true self.

Through attunement, this work offers greater connection + understanding of self allowing you to step out into your life with a felt sense of safety + knowledge about what you need.

  • SAFETY

This is the foundation of a happy life: Safety within ones self. We often look to external changes when life feels lacking- maybe its a struggle with social anxiety or fear of being vulnerable or seen. But real safety is developed within ones self when we look at the nervous system level.

Through our sessions together we will not only strengthen the physical body but also one’s ability to connect to their body + understand their nervous system.
